Project — Sprint / SKU 05
Web Build Sprint
A focused marketing or product site, designed and shipped in weeks — code you can extend, no lock-in.
Fixed fee
$20–40k
Duration
3–4 weeks
Engagement
Standalone — no retainer required
The problem this solves
Why this exists
Agencies take 12 weeks and lock you into their proprietary CMS. Cheap freelancers take 4 weeks and ship code your team cannot maintain.
We split the difference: a senior dev shipping a site you can read, deploy, and extend. The code is yours, the stack is mainstream, and your team can keep going without us.
Is this for you?
Concrete fit and anti-fit
If we're not a fit, we'd rather you find out here than after a sales call.
Good fit
- ▹You need a real site (marketing, product, recruiting) and you don't want a design + build agency relationship.
- ▹You want a stack your engineering team can pick up — Next.js, React, Tailwind, MDX content. No proprietary CMS lock-in.
- ▹You can be decisive on copy and brand within 3–4 weeks.
- ▹$20k tier: focused marketing site, ~5–8 pages, contact form, analytics. $40k tier: content-rich, with CMS or MDX pipeline, dynamic content, integrations like Calendly / Resend / Stripe checkout.
Not a fit
- ×You want a complex web app (not a site) — that is a different scope, usually a Retainer.
- ×You want a logo and brand identity from scratch — we can refer you, or scope as a separate add-on.
- ×You want WordPress, Webflow, or Framer — we ship code-first sites; happy to refer you to specialists who do those well.
- ×You can't get copy approved in 3 weeks — bad fit for fixed-scope; consider a Retainer instead.
Schedule
Week by week
What happens, in order, with checkpoints. The SOW dates match this schedule.
Week 1
1. Discovery and design (4-week version)
- ▹Kickoff. Brand and content audit.
- ▹Sitemap + wireframes for all pages.
- ▹Design direction (Figma or in-code).
- ▹End of week: design accepted, copy in flight.
Week 2
2. Build core
- ▹All pages built.
- ▹Content pipeline (MDX by default; CMS for the $40k tier).
- ▹Analytics wired (Plausible by default).
- ▹Contact / lead capture wired (Resend or your provider).
- ▹End of week: staging deploy, internal review.
Week 3
3. Polish and integrations
- ▹Integrations (Calendly, Resend, Stripe checkout, etc.).
- ▹Performance and accessibility pass.
- ▹SEO basics: sitemap, robots, OG cards, structured data where applicable.
- ▹End of week: production-ready.
Week 4
4. Launch
- ▹Domain and deploy (Vercel by default; your infra on request).
- ▹60-minute handoff call.
- ▹Documentation (README, content-editing runbook).
- ▹1-week post-launch fix window opens.
Deliverables
What you have at the end
Each deliverable has a format. We don't ship slide decks instead of code.
01
Designed and deployed site
Production-ready, accessible, performant. Your infra on request (we can ship to AWS, Cloudflare, Fly).
02
Content pipeline
MDX gives your engineering team full control. CMS option is Sanity or Payload — we pick with you at kickoff.
03
Analytics
Privacy-friendly and GDPR-clean. We can wire GA4, PostHog, or others on request.
04
Contact / lead capture
Submissions land in the destination of your choice (email, Slack, CRM via webhook).
05
SEO basics
The foundation. Not a full SEO program — that is a separate engagement.
06
Source code with documentation
Your team can deploy a content update without us. The handoff call walks one of your engineers through it.
07
1-week post-launch fix window
Bug fixes and small adjustments after launch. Not a maintenance contract.
What you provide
Concrete dependencies, not 'share relevant info'
If these aren't in place, the ship date moves. We say so up front.
- ▹A named decision-maker on copy and design (~5 hours/week).
- ▹Brand assets (logo, colors, typography) — or an explicit decision to defer brand creation to a referral partner.
- ▹Final copy by end of week 1 (3-week version) or end of week 2 (4-week version).
- ▹Domain access for DNS.
- ▹Decision on hosting at kickoff.
- ▹Engineering contact for handoff (1 hour at end of project).
Out of scope
What this does NOT include
Read this. If something you assumed is here isn't, raise it on the fit call before we sign.
- ×Logo and brand identity creation (separate scope or referral).
- ×Ongoing maintenance — that is a Retainer.
- ×Custom CMS development beyond Sanity / Payload defaults.
- ×Migration of legacy content (we will scope a separate sprint if you have ten years of WordPress).
- ×Paid ads or SEM setup (separate scope).
- ×A/B testing infrastructure (separate scope).
- ×Any work not expressly listed in the weekly schedule or deliverables above.
Success looks like
One paragraph, plain English
Day 21–28, your new site is live, your team can deploy a content update without our help, and your contact form is dropping leads where you need them.
What happens after
Common post-sprint paths
What clients typically do after this sprint ships. None of these are required.
- ▹1-week post-launch fix window included.
- ▹Many clients add a Retainer for ongoing site work and new pages.
- ▹Some convert to a separate sprint for ads, CRM, or analytics depth.
